No fewer than 15 persons, including the village head of Burum-Burum killed in another communal clash between the Eggon ethnic nationality and the Alago/ Gwandara ethnic extraction in Burum-Burum Village, Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

According to an eyewitness, the incident, which occurred at about 5:00p.m on Sunday was an escalation of the crisis between the Fulani herdsmen and Eggon farmers, which the Eggon blamed the Alago/Gwandara, for taking side with the Fulani herdsmen, a situation which compelled them (Eggons) to attack the Alago/Gwandara tribes in the area, leaving 15 persons and property worth millions of naira destroyed. The attackers killed mostly adults and children, sparing young and old women.

Meanwhile, the corpses of both village head of Burum-burum and those killed had been deposited at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, Lafia, where relations and sympathizers gathered and were seen discussing in groups over the unfortunate incident. Some of the sympathizers who spoke expressed their disappointment with the security situation in the state and called on Governor Al-Makura to sit-up to tackle the current security challenges in the state.
