No cause for alarm over Okorocha’s condition - Imo State Government

 The government of Imo State has allayed fears on the health condition of the state governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, who is currently outside the country for medical attention.

Okorocha was involved in an accident on Friday, when a car ran into his convoy and crashed with his personal car, making him to sustain what his aides called a minor injury.

The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Ebere Uzoukwa, said it was imperative for the governor to travel, to attend to his condition and not that he sustained any serious injury that may likely keep him out of work.

Uzoukwa said the governor would return to Nigeria as soon as he took sufficient time to rest and shake off the trauma of the accident as, according to him, “Okorocha was never the kind of governor who takes delight in staying abroad when he has sufficient works to keep him engaged back at home.”

Meanwhile, a group, the Imo Progressive Youths (IPY), has threatened a showdown with those they described as detractors of good governance in Imo State.

This is just as the group condemned the recent invitation extended by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to some members of the state House of
